Invite Rudy to Your Office Party

The holiday season is fast approaching and planning will soon begin for your organization’s Christmas party.  Attention to detail is always the key to a successful gathering, right down to how your guests will return home safely at the end of a festive evening. Once again, Operation Red Nose will be operating in the Sudbury area.

There are a variety of ways to let your guests know of this service. The most popular method is with a visit from our Mascot – a big friendly reindeer complete with a big red nose! Mike Allard, KiSS 105.3 Program Director has been Rudy’s roadside companion for the last few years. Mike, Lesli and Rudy visit area establishments and parties to spread Operation Red Nose’s brief but important message.  “Make Operation Red Nose your last call before you hit the road.” Plan ahead, call a friend, call a cab or call Operation Red Nose. Please don’t drink and drive.

Operation Red Nose will organize teams of volunteers who are trained and ready to drive anyone home who has been drinking, is tired or for any reason doesn’t feel fit to drive. One of the most welcome features of this service is that the client is driven home in their own vehicle by a designated driver, with a navigator.  The client, designated driver and navigator are followed to the destination by another driver in an escort vehicle, who picks up his team mates and goes on to the next call.

The 2016 service operates on the following dates:

November 25, 26 and
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in December
including New Year’s Eve from 8:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
Excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
The service is free but donations are gratefully accepted!

Calls are responded to on a first-call, first-served basis. In order to ensure that we have enough volunteers to provide your group with prompt service on the night of your Christmas function, contact Lesli Green to inform us of your plans and to arrange a visit from our mascot Rudy.

Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday!
